Achievements

Dr. Shibil is a consultant pediatric orthopaedician attached to Highland, Indiana and Unity hospitals in Mangalore. He is an Associate professor in Dept of Orthopedics at KIMS, mangalore. He completed his undergraduate and MS (ortho) degrees from Govt. medical college, Calicut in 2011 and is part of the speciality Ortho group, HEAFFORD Ortho since then.

He began his pediatric ortho training at the prestigious Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada under Professor Unni G.Narayanan.

Later he did his Fellowship in hip preservation under Prof Klaus Seibenrock at the Inselspital, University hospital Bern , Switzerland where he specialized in pediatric hip preservation, a novel technique to help prevent hip osteoarthritis.

The following year, he completed his Fellowship in pediatric Orthopedics at HEL,University hospital Lausanne, Switzerland under Prof Pierre Yves Zambelli.

Recently he completed a Fellowship in deformity correction and Limb reconstruction at NRRA, Beijing, China under Prof Qin Si He. He also represented India at the Weifang International Limb Deformity Correction conference, China and presented his paper on complex pediatric hip deformity correction with 3D print guides.
