Biography

Dr. Nihal Ali Kumble is a dedicated and Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) registered Gastroenterologist with over three years of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. He is proficient in endoscopy, colonoscopy, and other advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and is known for his compassionate approach and commitment to excellence in patient care. Dr. Nihal completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangaluru (2010–2015), where he graduated with Rank 4 in his class (February 2015 batch). He then pursued his M.D. in Internal Medicine (2017–2020) from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, where he developed a strong foundation in clinical medicine and earned recognition for his academic performance, securing 3rd place in the ICMR Training Workshop on Diabetes in the Young (2018). Further specializing in the field of digestive health, Dr. Nihal completed his DNB in Gastroenterology (2021–2024) from the prestigious Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Trivandrum. During his residency, he gained extensive hands-on experience in managing complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic diseases. Throughout his medical journey - from his internship and residency at KMC Mangaluru and Manipal to his advanced training at KIMS Trivandrum - Dr. Nihal has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, clinical precision, and a deep sense of patient empathy. At Indiana Hospital & Heart Institute, Mangaluru, Dr. Nihal provides specialized care in gastroenterology and hepatology, with interests in therapeutic endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver disorders, and pancreatology.
